Federal Agency Streamlines Space Management Using One Comprehensive Solution

A large federal agency with more than 6,000 employees and 3,500 work locations needed a better way to manage space and reservations. Using spreadsheets made it difficult to see how space was being used across the portfolio, especially during COVID-19, and the agency lacked an enterprise-wide view to support planning, social distancing, and cost control. Nuvolo was selected after a review of more than 20 solutions, with a need for an enterprise system that could scale and support over 50 space managers.

Nuvolo implemented Connected Workplace, built on the ServiceNow platform, to centralize space management, reservation data, and interactive floor plans created from CAD files. The solution gave the agency enterprise and local views of facilities, improved communication between space managers and facilities teams, and provided new insight into utilization, location attributes, and rent allocation. As a result, the agency can make faster, smarter decisions, identify space efficiencies, and pursue facility cost reductions across its 3,500 locations.
