Camden Market leads the way welcoming Chinese tourists

Camden Market, London’s iconic market, wanted to better serve Chinese tourists and the local community by adding WeChat Pay at the point of sale. To do this, Camden Market partnered with Nuvei to integrate WeChat Pay across merchants’ POS systems and make the popular Chinese payment method available onsite.

Nuvei implemented the WeChat Pay POS integration, enabling merchants to accept payments from Chinese visitors and local shoppers and supporting tenant businesses’ needs. The Nuvei-powered rollout made Camden Market one of the first in London to offer WeChat Pay at POS, increasing payment options for tourists and helping the market welcome and transact with more Chinese visitors.
