To do that, Box partnered with Nutrient and used its PDF Viewer SDK and document processing technology to add modern PDF capabilities without rebuilding its document layer.

Nutrient delivered seamless PDF rendering, thumbnails, navigation, editing, and high-fidelity preview features that integrated smoothly into Box’s platform and mobile app. The results included earlier-than-planned delivery of mobile UX goals, faster time to market, lower development costs, and a savings of roughly 2 to 3 sprints of effort, while also supporting Box’s Apple Vision Pro launch and improving the overall customer experience.
