Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), which serves 46,000 K–12 students across 86 schools and dozens of departments, faced a time-consuming, error-prone paper-based vendor clearance and contract initiation process that required multiple approvals and repeated vendor re‑submissions each year. The district needed a workflow system that would let internal staff and external vendors submit, track and approve contracts online while maintaining accountability and compliance.

OUSD implemented Integrify’s web-based workflow platform to automate vendor management and contract initiation, using configurable forms, routing rules and plugins to pull and push data and generate PDFs. The result was faster, more transparent approvals, fewer vendor follow-ups, auditable records, on-time payments and substantial staff time savings — with process costs reduced dramatically and plans underway to expand Integrify to additional request types and integrate with the district’s board‑agenda system.
