Nutickets Helps PSA Academies to Deliver Safe and Secure Rugby Camps During COVID-19

PSA Academies, founded by former France Rugby Union manager and player Philippe Saint-André, runs high-performance youth rugby camps across France, Ireland and the UK. During COVID-19, the organisation needed a safer way to manage attendance, reduce touchpoints, support social distancing, and replace cash handling with a contactless system that could also let parents top up their children’s accounts remotely. Nutickets provided the contactless ticketing and on-site management tools needed to support these requirements.

Nutickets implemented RFID wristbands, cashless payments, access control, and an eWallet solution for PSA Academies. This enabled secure tap-to-pay purchases, real-time attendance tracking, capacity management, and remote top-ups/cash-outs for parents. As a result, PSA Academies successfully ran its rugby academy programme in Cork, Dublin and Kildare throughout August and October despite lockdown restrictions, while reducing physical contact and improving safety and control on site.
