Zentura - Customer Case Study

Zentura, a Copenhagen-based Citrix end-user computing service provider founded in 2010, had accumulated a patchwork of servers and SANs that drove up operational complexity and costs. The team wanted cloud-like scalability and simpler management but found public cloud too expensive and uncertain, so they looked for an on‑premise alternative that could deliver the same benefits.

Zentura replaced its 3-tier stack with the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform running on Dell EMC XC appliances (six nodes in the primary datacenter plus a three-node DR site) and adopted the AHV hypervisor, migrating 300+ VMs. The change cut rack footprint by ~75% (48U to 12U), halved power consumption, reduced CPUs (32 to 12), saved about $3,000/year on VMware and $3,000/year on Windows licensing, simplified management and maintenance windows, and enabled Zentura to become Nutanix’s first Premier Partner in Denmark while expanding its hosted and DR service offerings.
