Williams & Fudge Transforms Financial Services for Higher Education with Nutanix

Williams & Fudge, a family-owned financial services company that helps colleges and universities recover debt, needed a more agile and compliant way to run its aging, hardware-based IT environment. With a small IT team supporting 320+ employees and sensitive payment and consumer data, the company turned to Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS, Nutanix Prism, and the Acropolis AHV hypervisor to simplify management and improve availability.

Nutanix helped Williams & Fudge migrate about 100 servers and core applications to hyperconverged infrastructure, including collection software, SQL servers, SharePoint, and DR capabilities. The result was more than a 30% reduction in management points, 43% faster SQL query performance, and the ability for a four-person IT team to support over 300 remote workers during COVID-19, while also improving security and compliance.
