Wheels India, a leading automotive wheel manufacturer, was struggling with a legacy virtual desktop infrastructure that caused slow logins, frequent downtime, and storage constraints for the 95% of employees who relied on it. With users waiting up to five minutes to access desktops and IT systems often unavailable, the company needed a simpler, more reliable platform to keep 24/7 production and office operations running smoothly. Nutanix, implemented with Pentabrains Solutions, replaced the aging three-tier environment with a two-data-center active/passive design and centralized management through Prism. The upgrade eliminated downtime, cut desktop access time from five minutes to under 30 seconds, and reduced file recovery time from hours to less than 30 minutes. Nutanix also improved storage capacity, enabled easier remote work during COVID-19, and helped IT automate upgrades, patching, and scaling so the team could focus on strategic projects.
