Case Study: Waterland Securities achieves uninterrupted trading and 95% datacenter footprint reduction with Nutanix Enterprise Cloud

A Nutanix Case Study

Preview of the Waterland Securities Case Study

Waterland Securities Partners with Nutanix to Compete in the Fintech Era

Waterland Securities, a Taiwanese financial trading firm, needed to modernize its infrastructure to support millisecond-level trading and upcoming continuous trading rules. Its legacy three-tier virtualization caused minutes-long failovers, required large datacenter space in an expensive IDC, and constrained the company’s ability to scale and meet customer expectations.

After a POC, Waterland deployed the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud (AOS with Prism) on all‑flash hyperconverged nodes, gaining ~65% storage savings from deduplication/compression and replacing 60 servers and two storage units with seven nodes (≈95% rack-space reduction). The result: negligible service impact during node failures, faster provisioning and decision-making via a single management plane, IT reallocated to business initiatives (including a 30,000‑subscriber in‑app launch), and a smaller, more scalable datacenter footprint.
