A Nutanix Case Study
The Uozu City Board of Education in Toyama, Japan needed a new, scalable ICT platform to support its Education Computerization Basic Plan across elementary and middle schools. Facing tight budgets, limited physical space, strict security and network-separation requirements, and a short implementation window (to be completed over summer vacation), the board needed an environment that could be deployed quickly, managed easily, and expanded annually.
They chose Nutanix Enterprise Cloud (NX series with AHV and Prism) to virtualize and consolidate roughly 50 servers into a compact, scale-out platform. The solution was built in 2.5 months, stayed within budget, and now runs groupware, security services and directory/patch systems for about 300 users with stable operation. Management is simplified via Prism, licensing costs were reduced with AHV, and the platform can be easily expanded by adding nodes to meet future needs.
