FP McCann, the UK’s largest precast concrete solutions provider, needed stronger business continuity for its technology-dependent operations. Its existing three-tier setup on Microsoft Hyper-V was causing back-end SQL performance issues, and the IT team—only about 18 people—needed a more automated, efficient failover solution to protect business-critical systems and support near-instant recovery.

Nutanix implemented a dual-site solution using Nutanix Clusters, AHV, and Nutanix Cloud Services across core and failover datacentre sites. FP McCann achieved streamlined failover, simpler management, ransomware protection, and faster SQL performance, with three identical clusters managed through a single pane of glass. Nutanix also demonstrated failover with no end-user impact, helping FP McCann move from Hyper-V to AHV with minimal disruption.
