Case Study: Migros Lucerne achieves improved performance and future-ready IT with Nutanix

The Migros Lucerne Cooperative uses a Nutanix solution that delights users and makes the company ready for the future

Migros Lucerne, a large Swiss retail cooperative, needed to replace its aging Citrix infrastructure on Windows HPE servers because it had reached its limits, was too complex to operate, and could not support Office365 or multimedia applications with the user experience employees needed. The company worked with Nutanix on its “Next Generation Infrastructure” project, using Nutanix Files for FSLogix profiles and Nutanix Acropolis as the hypervisor.

Nutanix delivered a VDI Windows 10 solution with dedicated graphics capability, validated through a proof of concept and then rolled out in about six months. The result was improved performance, better multimedia user experience, one-click updates, reduced operational complexity and OpEx, and 99.9% availability, with Nutanix enabling scalable future growth by simply adding nodes.
