Tane General Hospital Boosts Operational Efficiency with Nutanix

Tane General Hospital, an Osaka-based acute care and disaster-response hospital with about 300 beds, faced fragmented, department-level IT systems that wasted resources, prevented centralized analytics, and left the facility unable to run electronic medical records (EMR) and other critical applications. Scaling the legacy environment was laborious, risky, and costly, creating a barrier to modernizing operations and using data to inform hospital planning.

The hospital deployed a Nutanix Enterprise Cloud (NX series with AHV and Prism) cluster to consolidate servers and run EMR, nursing systems, data warehousing, SQL databases and more, with plans for VDI and PACS. The rollout delivered higher uptime and stable performance, reduced datacenter footprint and overheads, simplified budgeting by allowing incremental node additions, and freed IT staff to focus on business-critical operations and centralized analytics — with further expansion across affiliated sites planned.
