A Nutanix Case Study
Subaru Canada’s IT team was struggling with aging servers and NetApp storage that couldn’t keep up with demanding SQL-based workloads supporting SharePoint, CRM, Dynamics AX and on-site BI tools. Poor processing speed caused slow developer and end-user performance—especially during month-end reporting and nightly ETL jobs—so the company needed a higher-performance, more scalable infrastructure.
Subaru standardized on Nutanix Enterprise Cloud’s hyperconverged platform, deploying a two-block cluster in its Mississauga datacenter to consolidate BI, CRM and VDI workloads. The move delivered much higher IOPS, cut a nightly ETL from four hours to under two, eliminated month-end performance complaints, simplified management with Prism, reduced datacenter footprint, and improved stability—prompting plans to expand Nutanix for backup and off-site replication.
