South Taranaki District Council, a New Zealand local government serving about 29,000 residents across seven towns and numerous remote sites, faced end-of-life on-premises infrastructure in 2023. The council needed a cost-effective, data-sovereign stepping-stone to advance its cloud-first strategy while keeping connectivity and service continuity for distributed operations.
