Sitec Labs accelerates medical breakthroughs with Nutanix

Sitec Labs, an India-based clinical research and synthesis services provider, faced a growing IT challenge: its aging three-tier infrastructure could not keep pace with rapid business growth or the availability and protection needs of critical drug‑development data. With responsibilities that include capturing and analysing every phase of research, the company needed a more reliable, scalable platform to ensure business continuity, reduce complexity and control costs.

Sitec Labs replaced its legacy stack with Nutanix (two clusters, eight nodes) using AOS storage and AHV, migrating about 95% of applications and databases and enabling fast failover and snapshot-based recovery. The new platform helped the firm launch research projects 50% faster, consolidate hardware by 70%, cut power and maintenance costs by more than 60%, reduce maintenance headcount from 25 to 2, and recover VMs in five minutes—freeing IT to focus on innovation and future multicloud plans.
