Sheppard Mullin, a full-service Global 100 law firm, sought to utilize newer technologies to improve services for its attorneys and staff. A key challenge was ensuring 100% uptime for its critical on-premises document management system, as performance issues directly impacted client service. The firm selected the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform to address these concerns and simplify its IT management.

The solution deployed included Nutanix 3000 and 8000-series systems, Acropolis File Services (AFS), and the AHV hypervisor managed by Prism. Nutanix provided near 100% uptime, increased performance with up to 100,000 IOPS, and simplified management. The implementation enabled easier self-service file restores for users and improved disaster recovery capabilities, allowing attorneys to be more efficient and provide better service to global clients.
