Sakra World Hospital boosts patient care at critical time with Nutanix

Sakra World Hospital, a multi-specialty hospital in Bangalore, struggled with slow access to electronic patient records, long billing delays, rising IT power and cooling costs, and infrastructure that made it hard to launch telehealth services. The hospital turned to Nutanix Cloud Platform, including Nutanix HCI, to modernize its mission-critical healthcare systems and support better patient care.

Nutanix helped Sakra migrate 41 applications to its platform with Nutanix AOS, Prism, and AHV, with implementation support from Pentagon System and Services. The results included application and database access times improving from 10–15 seconds to 1–2 seconds, billing time dropping from over 2 minutes to 30 seconds, downtime reduced by 90%, admin time cut by around 57%, backup speed improved 4.7x, power and cooling costs reduced by 55%, and total cost of ownership lowered by 35%.
