RACQ, a financial services and motoring organization, needed to modernize its legacy data center but couldn’t move fully to public cloud because of financial data regulations. It turned to Nutanix and its Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS to support a hybrid cloud approach that would improve agility, reduce complexity, and keep sensitive workloads on premises where required.

With Nutanix, RACQ implemented a hyperconverged hybrid cloud environment that lets it run workloads across public and private cloud platforms more efficiently. The results included turning IT requests around in one day instead of 4–5 days, applying security patches in a day instead of weeks, saving an estimated AU$500,000 over five years, and reducing hardware by 77.5%—which also lowered its carbon footprint.
