QTS Realty Trust, a leading North American data center and service provider, needed a hosted private cloud to serve applications unsuited for the public cloud and to compete in the growing hybrid market. The challenge was to deliver cloud-like speed and ease—stand up dedicated environments far faster than traditional three-tier deployments—so customers could be provisioned and billed much sooner.

QTS adopted the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud (as an X‑Powered service provider) to deliver a hyperconverged, single-platform private cloud managed via Nutanix Prism. The solution enabled one-button deployments, consolidated infrastructure management, and strong partner support and training, cutting provisioning time from 30–60 days to a few weeks, accelerating billing and revenue, and simplifying operations with plans to further reduce costs by migrating to Nutanix AHV.
