Traditional VPN and remote‑desktop approaches couldn’t meet the Avid editor’s strict latency and graphics requirements, so the IT team sought a data‑center delivered VDI solution that could run demanding creative applications reliably from anywhere.

They implemented Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (AHV and Prism) with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (HDX 3D Pro) and NVIDIA A40 GPUs using vGPU. The combined solution delivers workstation‑class graphics (4GB vGPU per editor), supports up to ~180 concurrent VDI sessions without degradation, and made apps like Avid and Adobe Creative Cloud available remotely.
