Powering Up SQL Server with Nutanix Era Platform for Databases

EDAG Engineering, an engineering services provider for the automotive industry, needed a faster, simpler way to provision and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases for developers. Using Nutanix Era, the company wanted to replace slow, manual database administration and improve its response time for customer projects.

Nutanix implemented a DBaaS solution on the Nutanix Cloud Platform with Era, enabling standardized provisioning, cloning, snapshots, and easier patching. The results were strong: database provisioning dropped from three to five days to about four hours, application transactions ran 50% faster, and report preparation time fell from four to eight hours to one or two hours.
