Pi - Customer Case Study

Pi is a UK-based SaaS data services company that builds big‑data, machine‑learning and decision‑automation solutions for clients across industries. As Pi shifted toward machine learning and expanded globally, it needed a flexible, cost‑effective and secure infrastructure to support rapid growth, simplify management, break down siloed systems, and meet strict EU governance and encryption requirements.

Pi deployed Nutanix Xtreme Computing Platform across two data centers, moved from KVM to the built‑in Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) and uses Nutanix Prism for centralized management and automation. The change delivered HA, live migration, REST‑API automation and native FIPS‑level encryption, eliminated hypervisor licensing and heavy management overhead, reduced datacenter footprint by ~6x, scaled to ~200 VMs and enabled single‑tenant, compliant environments so the small IT team can focus on innovation.
