Endemol Shine UK, a major TV and media producer, was struggling with rapidly growing and unpredictable unstructured data, legacy blade servers and SAN storage, rising VMware licensing costs, and the complexity of managing infrastructure across multiple sites. These limitations reduced agility, made application rollouts and capacity planning difficult, and constrained the company’s ability to support modern digital workloads.

Endemol Shine migrated its pre‑production estate to the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud, adopting the license‑free AHV hypervisor and managing all sites through the Prism console, with snapshots to Microsoft Azure for backups. The move cut co‑location rack space by 33% (three racks to one), improved performance, reduced hypervisor cost and management overhead, enabled rapid on‑the‑fly scaling, sped a Windows Server upgrade from a month to five days, and freed IT staff to focus on innovation.
