Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) needed a faster, more flexible way to modernize its IT infrastructure as it shifted toward becoming a fully digital insurer. The company was struggling to speed up application deployment and support critical insurance, claims, HR, and business intelligence systems for 2,600 users and 500 brokers, so it turned to Nutanix Enterprise Cloud and Nutanix AHV.

Nutanix helped SGI migrate virtual machines from Citrix servers and Dell storage into a single, scalable platform managed from one dashboard. With Nutanix, SGI can add capacity by simply adding nodes, automate hundreds of VM changes with Terraform, and perform one-click updates with minimal oversight. The result has been faster migrations, improved agility, more frequent patching, and a significant reduction in manual infrastructure work, with SGI about 40% complete in its migration and expecting to finish within a year.
