New World Development standardizes with Nutanix

New World Development (NWD), a major property company with operations across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau and other Asian markets, was struggling with a complex IT environment built on rack and blade servers and a two-tier storage architecture. The setup caused scalability and hardware-failure issues, rising maintenance costs, and downtime that made it harder for NWD to support growth. NWD turned to Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform to simplify and standardize its infrastructure.

Nutanix implemented a hyperconverged platform with Prism and Acropolis across three sites, supporting mission-critical workloads such as Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Splunk and HRMS systems. The result was a more stable and flexible environment with zero planned downtime for upgrades, a 70% reduction in IT maintenance time, and a 50% cut in power and space requirements. Nutanix also helped NWD remove expansion constraints and scale for new projects without disruption.
