Case Study: Mitsubishi HC Capital Canada achieves rapid VDI scaling and business continuity with Nutanix

A Nutanix Case Study

Preview of the Mitsubishi HC Capital Canada Case Study

Mitsubishi HC Capital Implemented Nutanix due to its Business Integration and Prepares for Migration to Hybrid Cloud

Mitsubishi HC Capital, a lease and finance company formed by the 2021 integration of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance and Hitachi Capital, needed to quickly consolidate desktop environments, support about 3,000 users working from home, and ensure business continuity amid natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. Its legacy private-cloud infrastructure faced performance and scalability limits, creating urgency to modernize mission-critical systems and expand VDI capacity during the business integration.

The company deployed Nutanix Cloud Platform (AOS and Prism, with plans to adopt AHV and Nutanix Clusters on Azure) to run front- and back-office systems and a Windows 10 virtual desktop environment. The solution enabled fast, flexible scaling, reduced system operation man‑hours, eliminated the need for specialist maintenance skills, strengthened business resiliency, and freed IT to focus on integration and hybrid‑cloud transformation.
