Minmetals Securities, a fast-growing Chinese brokerage, faced mounting IT pressure from rapid business expansion: traditional server/storage architecture could not meet demands for capacity, performance, scalability or quick online launches. Their twin data centers were running out of space and power, IT headcount couldn’t keep up, and the company needed a solution that saved space and energy while improving availability and agility.

Minmetals deployed the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform (NX-8035) as an eight-node hyperconverged cluster, replacing nearly 50 physical servers and delivering linear scalability, higher stability and simpler management. The rollout cut space usage by more than 80% and power by over 60%, reduced provisioning time from hours/days to minutes, eased IT workload, and enabled rapid future expansion and a planned Phase II deployment.
