Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Accelerate Smart Governance with Nutanix Cloud Platform

The Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia faced a major IT challenge: harmonizing siloed systems and providing scalable, interoperable data services for 542 municipalities to support the One Data Indonesia initiative and anti‑corruption directives. The ministry needed better data governance, transparency, high uptime and easier integration of budgeting, planning and reporting across provinces, regencies and cities.

The ministry adopted the Nutanix Cloud Platform (20‑node cluster with AHV, Prism and Calm), migrating ~90% of its infrastructure and centralizing control and automation. Within a year SIPD was rolled out to 99% of target municipalities, delivering at least 2x operational efficiency, ~40% cost savings, ~50% improved database performance, zero downtime for critical e‑gov workloads, and a 10x reduction in rack space and power consumption.
