Korea Western Power Staff Now Works Anywhere with Nutanix VDI Solution

Korea Western Power, a major energy and utilities provider, needed to maintain business continuity during the pandemic while enabling remote work for staff across a more volatile and uncertain environment. The company turned to Nutanix VDI as part of its Nutanix Enterprise Cloud and VMware Horizon-based virtual desktop infrastructure to give employees secure access to workstations and applications from anywhere.

Nutanix deployed the VDI solution in just three days over a weekend, supported by Nutanix Prism Pro, and the rollout helped create a more mobile and resilient workforce. The results included 5x faster login times, dropping from 150 seconds to 30 seconds, along with strong user feedback, improved availability, and reduced CapEx for mobile work support and infrastructure.
