Kindred Credit Union Deploys Nutanix Enterprise Cloud to Eliminate Complexity and Improve Security

Kindred Credit Union, a financial services organization with eight branches in Southwestern Ontario, needed a more cost-effective and reliable way to replace aging PCs and launch a virtual desktop initiative for employees. Working with Zycom Technology, the credit union evaluated VDI and chose Nutanix Enterprise Cloud for its VDI deployment, aiming to reduce storage complexity, improve performance, and strengthen security.

Nutanix helped Kindred deploy the solution faster and later expand it for production servers, giving the IT team a single platform to manage both VDI and virtual infrastructure. The results included 95% of employees using virtual desktops, 98% of the virtual environment moved to Nutanix, SharePoint indexing reduced from 8 hours to under 30 minutes, stronger security, less downtime, lower power and datacenter footprint, and more time for IT to focus on strategic work.
