A Nutanix Case Study
JSC Kazakhtelecom, Kazakhstan’s largest telecommunications provider, was running a legacy 3‑tier stack—aging servers, SAN storage, an Oracle 11g data warehouse and SAP BusinessObjects—supporting 200 users, roughly 500 annual reports and about 3.5 TB of partitioned data. Sluggish reporting (especially at quarterly peaks) and a need for higher availability and performance drove the IT team to seek a modern infrastructure to support mission‑critical operational and analytical workloads.
The company deployed Nutanix NX‑3000 hyperconverged systems with Nutanix AHV and Prism, migrating its Oracle and SAP analytics; the cluster was configured in three hours and analytics run times improved 3–5x. The solution reduced datacenter footprint and power use, eliminated legacy hypervisor licensing, simplified management via a single console, delivered high availability and performance, and is being considered for wider rollout across tier‑1 applications.
