A Nutanix Case Study
Jostens, the century-old leader in high‑school yearbooks and class rings, faced a growing problem as yearbook production moved from print to digital: schools struggled with aging hardware, incompatible Adobe versions, Chromebook limitations, fragile local storage and heavy IT support needs. These issues forced Jostens to maintain multiple software versions and constrained the company’s ability to scale its premium design services.
Jostens partnered with Nutanix Xi Frame to launch Monarch, a cloud platform delivering Adobe InDesign/Photoshop and Jostens’ YearTech with SSO, private school storage, integrated uploads and automated backups. The result: tens of thousands of students now design yearbooks from any device, schools need only a browser, Jostens dramatically reduced support and management overhead, achieved multi‑tenant scale and instant updates, and nearly eliminated file‑recovery requests.
