Jeju Shinhwa World saves KRW 20B and launches Korea’s first SDDC with Nutanix

Jeju Shinhwa World, a major South Korean resort, faced significant challenges in constructing and stabilizing two new on-premises data centers in time for its grand opening. Located on Jeju Island, the resort needed a disaster recovery solution and a more efficient, reliable IT environment but was concerned about the complexity and slow support associated with traditional legacy infrastructure. They sought a solution that could virtualize 100% of their resources and run over 80 business-critical applications.

The resort chose the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform, including Acropolis OS and the AHV hypervisor. This solution consolidated all business workloads onto a single platform, enabling incredibly fast provisioning and non-disruptive operations. As a result, Jeju Shinhwa World established Korea’s first software-defined data center, saved an estimated KRW 20 billion in build costs, and reduced complex SAP upgrades to one-click operations. Nutanix provided the reliability and seamless management the resort required.
