Case Study: Vodafone achieves simplified, scalable end-user computing with Nutanix

A Nutanix Case Study

Preview of the Vodafone Case Study

How Vodafone used hyperconverged infrastructure to build a hybrid cloud IT operation that supported virtual desktop and desktop as a service, which kept remote workers connected to essential business applications and data through the COVID-19 pandemic

Vodafone needed a scalable way to support end-user computing for remote workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, while keeping them connected to essential business applications and data. After evaluating four vendors, Vodafone chose Nutanix HCI and Azure public cloud to build a hybrid cloud environment for virtual desktops and desktop-as-a-service.

Nutanix provided the hyperconverged infrastructure and deep Citrix integration Vodafone used to simplify image deployment, management, and file services across on-premises and public cloud layers. The result was a centrally managed hybrid EUC platform with linear scalability that helped Vodafone maintain remote access continuity and reduce the complexity of managing its environment.
