Case Study: BAE Systems achieves faster, more secure defense app development with Nutanix

A Nutanix Case Study

Preview of the BAE Systems Case Study

How his team builds apps for global defense

BAE Systems, working in defense and intelligence, needed a faster, more secure way to build and manage cloud-native applications for global defense. Its challenge was spinning up development environments quickly while maintaining strong security controls across complex multi-cloud infrastructure. Nutanix provided the hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) foundation, including the AHV hypervisor and Karbon for Kubernetes management.

Using Nutanix, BAE Systems was able to automate infrastructure deployment, move tasks that once took days or weeks to minutes, and manage security policies from a unified console across clouds. The zero-trust approach helped protect data and permissions at a granular level, supporting secure cloud-native development. Nutanix enabled BAE Systems to improve speed, agility, and scale while strengthening its defense posture.
