A Nutanix Case Study
Sundart, a Hong Kong–based fitting-out and interiors contractor serving Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China, faced mounting IT challenges from a decade-old IBM Blade environment: limited virtualization, an expiring OS that created security risk, and time-consuming manual management that hindered operational efficiency and future initiatives like BIM adoption.
In October 2021 Sundart moved to the Nutanix Cloud Platform (AOS storage and AHV), migrating HR, accounting, printing and other office applications to a unified, intuitive interface. The change cut daily maintenance from about an hour to 10 minutes, delivered zero downtime, reduced datacenter footprint from 8U to 3U (lowering power and cooling costs), sped up provisioning and scaling, and positioned the company to adopt BIM workflows using Nutanix Frame.
