Hokuhoku Financial Group targets 20% lower infrastructure costs with Nutanix

Hokuhoku Financial Group, a major regional financial institution in Japan, faced the challenge of integrating and modernizing the separate IT infrastructures of its two merged banks, Hokuriku Bank and Hokkaido Bank. Their legacy systems were complex, costly to maintain, and difficult to scale. To achieve its goal of offering improved services and operational efficiency, the group selected the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform to build a new, shared infrastructure.

Nutanix provided a hyperconverged infrastructure solution that simplified operations, enabled flexible scaling, and reduced costs. The deployment of Nutanix NX-3000 and NX-8000 series appliances integrated the two banks' systems and supported approximately 9,000 virtual desktops. As a result, Hokuhoku Financial Group standardized operations, simplified maintenance, and estimated a long-term reduction in infrastructure, operation, and maintenance costs of 20%.
