HDB creates an office without borders with Nutanix VDI
The Housing & Development Board (HDB), Singapore’s public housing authority, needed a way for architects and engineers to access high‑performance 3D design tools remotely while simplifying desktop operations and strengthening security in a public‑sector, air‑gapped environment. Traditional professional workstations and fragmented management made it hard to provide secure, consistent access to applications like Autodesk, ArchiCAD and ArcGIS Pro.
HDB deployed a Nutanix Enterprise Cloud running Citrix VDI on AHV (with NVIDIA GRID and Nutanix Prism/Flow) to deliver graphically intensive apps from the datacenter and manage the estate from a single pane of glass. The result: seamless office‑to‑home work, sensitive data kept inside the datacenter, hundreds of hours saved in desktop management, lower operational costs, improved performance and proactive security—freeing IT to focus on innovation.
