HAPEVs smooths path to the cloud with Nutanix

Hamburger Pensionsverwaltung (HAPEV), a German pensions manager overseeing €11+ billion and serving thousands of organizations, needed to host critical services for a new customer platform on AWS without costly re‑architecture, staff retraining or disruption. At the same time it wanted stronger disaster recovery for its on‑prem Nutanix environment, but many existing applications were not supported natively on AWS and would have required extensive tooling changes.

HAPEV deployed Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS alongside its on‑prem Nutanix stack, enabling lift‑and‑shift of AHV workloads without modification. After a successful PoC, the team completed migration in under three months, managing cloud and on‑prem clusters from the same Prism console, improving DR with one‑click failover, lowering TCO, and providing a scalable, easy‑to‑manage path for further cloud migration.
