A Nutanix Case Study
Grupo Alcione, a leading distributor of electrical supplies and equipment in Mexico, needed a high-performance, lower-cost multi-cloud virtualization platform to improve real-time inventory access, pricing, and service across its wholesale and retail channels. The company also wanted greater availability, reliability, and performance as it supported 22 branches and 800 employees.
Nutanix implemented Nutanix AHV and an enterprise cloud environment built on AOS, starting with a three-node cluster for ERP migration and expanding to two clusters with 9 nodes total, including a DRP for hourly replication of critical servers. With Nutanix, Grupo Alcione achieved more than 30% savings in data center-related expenses, improved uptime and operational stability, and reduced tickets and calls related to system use.
