Great Canadian Gaming Corporation deploys 14 Nutanix systems in 3 days

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (GCGC), a multi-jurisdictional gaming and hospitality operator, faced a major challenge when the timeline to deploy a new, business-critical gaming management system (GMS) was cut in half. They needed high-performance infrastructure for this 45-server application and had to have it shipped, installed, and running in less than eight weeks. Their existing three-tier architecture was difficult to upgrade and required scheduled outages, which was extremely difficult for their 24/7 operations. They turned to the vendor Nutanix for a solution.

Nutanix provided its Enterprise Cloud Platform, including Acropolis data services and the AHV hypervisor. GCGC deployed 14 all-flash Nutanix systems for production and disaster recovery. The implementation was fast and simple, meeting the aggressive deadline. The Nutanix solution provided high-performance storage for the GMS, simplified ongoing management by eliminating the need for a dedicated storage specialist, and enabled non-disruptive upgrades that eliminated downtime. This gave GCGC the confidence to run their most mission-critical applications on Nutanix, as any outage would result in immediate financial loss.
