A Nutanix Case Study
Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (GCGC), a multi‑jurisdictional gaming and hospitality operator, faced an urgent rollout of Bally’s new Gaming Management System after a schedule change cut the deployment window in half. The GMS is a complex, mission‑critical environment spanning 45 servers and required high-performance, always‑on infrastructure with minimal downtime and fast, low‑risk upgrades.
GCGC deployed 14 Nutanix all‑flash systems (seven for production, seven for DR) plus additional Nutanix 1000‑series nodes, bringing primary and secondary sites online in about three days and meeting performance and timeline requirements. The Nutanix platform simplified management, enabled non‑disruptive upgrades, supported a smooth migration to the AHV hypervisor (reducing VMware licensing costs), and gave the team confidence to run mission‑critical workloads with fewer specialized storage resources.
