Europcar spearheads infrastructure refresh with Nutanix

Europcar, a global car rental company with more than 20,000 vehicles across 85+ locations in Southern Africa and access to roughly 220,000 vehicles worldwide, faced an aging backend: end-of-life servers and SANs were causing instability, incompatibilities and increased failures that threatened service delivery and innovation.

Europcar deployed the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform (AOS) on Dell XC nodes, migrating 200+ workloads to a hyperconverged environment that now runs Exchange, AD, CRM, ERP/Sage, ecommerce and more. The refresh delivered a stable, scalable infrastructure with fewer failures, reduced administrative overhead, improved visibility and faster time to IT; the environment was later expanded to a nine-node production and five-node DR configuration, further shrinking the hardware footprint.
