Edmonds Community College, a higher-education institution in Lynnwood, WA serving 11,000+ students, faced aging HPE blade servers and EVA SANs that were nearing end of support. The environment was complex to maintain—firmware and update sequencing were time-consuming, drives were failing frequently, and the server room had grown to over 10 racks with high energy and cooling needs—so the college sought a more reliable, easier-to-manage infrastructure.

Edmonds CC deployed Nutanix Enterprise Cloud on Dell EMC XC systems with Hyper-V and migrated nearly 80% of its virtual machines to the new platform. The move simplified management and firmware updates, boosted application performance, reduced the datacenter footprint from more than 10 racks to four (halving cooling and energy needs), and eliminated outages since deployment; the college is now planning cloud integration and wider campus rollout.
