Dongguk University Medical Center Secures Healthcare Service Continuity Across Five Affiliated Hospitals with Nutanix

Dongguk University Medical Center, a five-hospital healthcare network in Korea, needed to modernize its legacy IT environment and standardize medical information so it could deliver a truly integrated hospital information system across all locations. Its siloed servers, rising maintenance demands, and complex infrastructure made it difficult to manage patient data, support clinical staff, and ensure continuity of care. Nutanix Cloud Platform was used to help address these challenges.

With Nutanix, Dongguk University Medical Center built a private-cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure and centralized workloads from all five hospitals onto a unified platform. The result was about 50% better workload performance, easier management of around 80 operating systems and 140 workloads, and significant cost savings: maintenance costs dropped by more than 30%, IT resources and operations costs fell by 30%, and physical IT space was reduced by 50%.
