A Nutanix Case Study
dnata Travel Group, a global air travel services provider with about 46,000 employees and AED 14.9 billion in revenue, faced rising IT complexity and high energy costs after years of growth and acquisitions left it with many legacy, power-hungry technology stacks across the UK. As travel rebounded post‑pandemic, the business needed a faster, more agile and sustainable IT model that could consolidate disparate systems, meet local data-sovereignty needs and reduce operational overhead.
Working with Nutanix, dnata consolidated dozens of stacks into a sovereign, distributed hybrid cloud using Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure and AHV, with a phased three‑year migration and support for multi‑tenancy and FinOps. The move delivered major efficiency gains — 75% less rack space, a 54% reduction in power demand and an estimated 18,739 kg CO2 saved per year — plus better application performance, simplified management and a repeatable architecture for global rollout.
