Chung Yuan Christian University boosts application speeds by at least 4 times while reducing TCO by 50% with a hyperconverged infrastructure

Chung Yuan Christian University faced an aging legacy IT environment that was complex, costly to maintain, and too slow to handle peak campus demand, especially during registration and course selection. The university turned to Nutanix, evaluating its hyperconverged infrastructure and related management tools to find a more efficient and scalable way to support teachers and students.

Nutanix implemented a private cloud based on Nutanix AOS and Nutanix Prism, migrating about 3,000 administrative systems and applications onto the new platform. As a result, application speeds improved by at least 4 times, TCO was reduced by 50%, and the data center footprint shrank by more than 85%, while Nutanix also enabled one administrator to handle routine management tasks and improved overall IT efficiency.
