Avon Grove School District, which serves more than 5,200 students across four schools in the Philadelphia region, needed a reliable, easy-to-manage disaster recovery (DR) solution to protect 10TB of critical data and keep essential applications available. Its prior cloud DR was costly, complex, and time-consuming to maintain, consuming IT staff resources and hindering the district’s move to cloud-based operations.

The district deployed Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS with Xi Leap Disaster Recovery and moved to the native AHV hypervisor, consolidating compute, storage and virtualization into a single hyperconverged platform. The one‑click DR and integrated management dramatically simplified administration, cut VM protection setup from about a day to ten minutes, improved application performance for end users, and provided a scalable foundation for future learning initiatives.
