Aso College Group Creates an Agile Server Environment Using Nutanix Files

Aso College Group, a higher-education organization in Japan, was struggling with frequent performance issues on aging blade servers, limited scalability, and time-consuming backup and restore procedures. The team also couldn’t easily run newer applications because of infrastructure constraints, creating extra work for system administrators. To address these issues, Aso College Group turned to Nutanix, including Nutanix Files.

Nutanix implemented the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform with AHV, Prism, and Nutanix Files, deploying Nutanix NX Series nodes for production and backup. The results included easier scaling, reduced downtime, and much simpler operations: restore time dropped from about 3 hours to less than 5 minutes, and administrators gained at-a-glance system visibility through Prism. Nutanix also helped lower operational workload and improve business continuity.
